Free training for existing Clerks or those wishing to take up the role

Clerking for the Local Advisory Boards, Hubs and Boards of Governors is a growing and important role within Academies and MATs. We recognise the need to support those of you who are undertaking (or are likely to undertake in the future) this responsible work and would like to offer you the opportunity to obtain the skills and competencies for the role. The programme is validated by the National College of Teaching and Learning and scholarships are available to one person per school so there is no cost to you or your school.

The programme consists of the following:
• Facilitator lead events (1 full day and 1 half day at Mor and Web Conferences which you can sign into from your place of work/home)
• 5 facilitated online courses (sign-in at a time convenient to you)
• Work-based activities
• Completion of a learning log to reflect on practice and identify improvement
• Peer support - sharing practice, thinking and learning
• Mentor support from experienced clerks
