Successful 'Talk Boost' programme implemented
We have recently offered the very successful Talk Boost programmes from 'I CAN'

Talk Boost programmes for Reception / KS1 (we can also offer Early Talk Boost for EYFS and Talk Boost for KS2)
Talk Boost KS1 is a targeted and evidencebased intervention programme, which supports language delayed children in Reception and Key Stage 1 to make progress with their language and communication skills.
It is a structured programmethat accelerates children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 18 months after a ten week intervention. Since launch
over 30,000 children have benefited from the programme
Talk Boost training is for reception, year one and year two teachers and teaching assistants, training in pairs. It is important that staff attend in teacher and teaching assistant training pairs, as this is the structure that the intervention is based around.
Delegates attending the full course will receive a certificate of attendance and access to purchase I CAN licensee products.
Each setting will receive a Talk Boost starter pack and toolkit which includes all of the essential
materials a training pair (TA and Teacher) will need to deliver Talk Boost KS1:
- A TA Intervention Manual incl. Stickers
- A Teacher Manual incl. Progression Tools
- 12 Children’s Activity Books
- A Communication Cookbook
- Pre-cut session cards saving your TA time
cutting up activity sets.

- Includes over 170 individual items
