Primary History and Geography Network Meetings

Summer 2019

Geography

The next KTSA History-Geography network meeting takes place at the Atlantic Centre, Newquay on Thursday 27th June 2019, starting at 4.00 and finishing at 5.00 p.m. Coffee and tea will be available on arrival from 3.30 p.m. onwards.

Whether you are a trainee, an NQT or you have QTS, this lively subject network is open to anyone with an interest in the Humanities subjects and the contribution they make to a child’s education. Our welcoming and interactive meetings are an opportunity to share good practice, ideas and resources related to history and geography teaching and learning at both KS1 and KS2.

Facilitated by Andy Brumby, Director of Achievement for TLAT and a former history teacher, the next meeting will have curriculum development and design as its key theme. We will be revisiting the three I’s - Intent, Implementation and Impact - this time with an eye to geography and its place in the curriculum. As always, there will be a plethora of practical ideas to take away along with resources to share.
